Machine Operator (Onion Line)

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Inspect equipment and inform the supply attendant of the type of onions to be processed according to the daily production plan
Set equipment parameters before the start of the shift
Monitor operations and report any irregularities to the immediate supervisor and/or maintenance (unusual noises, breakdowns, product quality issues)
Feed the machine with the appropriate bag size
Ensure packaging standards and specifications are met
Perform product quality control and complete quality reports
Perform all other related duties

DEP in production equipment operation (food processing) or high school diploma with relevant experience in a similar role
Ability to work standing and lift required materials
Comfortable using computer systems
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (4°C)
Knowledge of HACCP standards is an asset
Strong observational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Thorough and attentive in task execution
Resourceful, versatile, and able to work with a sense of urgency
Strong team player
