Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Sales, the Innovation Manager plays a key role in the development and implementation of the company’s innovation initiatives.

The role will be responsible for identifying, planning, and leading innovative projects, whether they involve new products, improvements to existing lines, or initiatives focused on sustainability and emerging consumer trends.

The Innovation Manager will act as a true driver of innovation, coordinating across internal teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Agronomy) and external partners to turn ideas into tangible and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales and market data and synthesize insights to identify opportunities, guiding innovation priorities and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify new growth opportunities, including product innovation, sustainable packaging, and line renovations.
  • Lead and coordinate innovation projects from planning to commercialization, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain innovation roadmaps, integrating insights from market trends, data analysis, and product testing feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to support revenue generation and new product launches.
  • Track KPIs, assess risks, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, RGM, QA, Engineering, and Agronomy as project lead.

Main Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Business Administration, or Marketing (Master's degree is an asset).​
  • More than seven (7) years of experience in food manufacturing, innovation, or product development.​
  • Proven success managing product lifecycles and leading innovation projects from concept to launch.​
  • Experience with private label product development; an asset.​
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.​
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.​
  • Autonomous, adaptable, and proactive in fast-paced and evolving environments.​
  • Fluency in English is essential given our North American scope; French is an important asset as the role is based in Quebec.
